Taylor is 15 months!

My how time flies! Miss Taylor is 15 months and is the cuddliest, funniest, sweet girl I know. She looks more and more like a little girl every day with an almost full set of teeth and curly blonde hair that had to wave and say hi and bye to every person or animal she sees. She's a busy , social butterfly with swim lessons and music class once a week. She is now a walker too! She took her first steps about 3 weeks ago and grows more confidant every day...although would always rather have her mom holding her (my fault!). She loves to climb the stairs, play hide n seek with her daddy, balls, her dancing puppy toy, puppy dogs in general...and more! Loves being tickled. now too! She is starting to say animal noises now too if we tell her the animal--- ruff ruff, meow, grr, whoo, moo and baa, she has down!
Here are some things she's been up to..

Regular Words (is starting to mimic lots of other words too):
-Mama
-Dada
-Ball
-Juice
-Wa Wa (water)
- Ba Ba (bottle)
-No
- Hi
- Bye Bye
- Puppy
-Poo poo (oops)
- Car
-Uh Huh

Favorites:
Foods: bananas, green beans, sweet potato, oranges, raisins, cheese and yogi bites, iced tea

Toys: Any balls, her pink puppy blanky, the dancing Dog from Aunt Betsy and pink Car

Book: Anything with a peek a boo flap she can turn and the LadyBugs book

Dislikes: blow dryer, me taking a shower, getting her hair done, avocados, the doorbell.

Likes: cuddling with mom and dad in bed in the morning, her barnyard app on my iPad, chocolate milk, peekaboo, dancing and music and making the stink eye (she knows its funny)

We love our little bug! Can't wait for what new things every day brings!

14 months!

We took an impromptu trip to Rockport this weekend to see my sis and Kyle. We had a great time but wished it was longer!

Today Taylor got to take pics for Easter and was lucky enough to have Elliotte (and her mom) in town to pose and play with all day! We miss you Domonoskes! That was followed with lunch and a long day of shopping! We had a blast with Mel, Alli and Ells! We started the day with Tay's first Fundamentally Music class too and she loved it! The parachute, maracas and bubbles were her favorites! She's a busy girl now with swimming lessons once a week and music. She is so cultured :)

Thankful for the end of January!!!

The Morgan family has never been a fan of January... and this year couldn't have proven to be more true! My grandmother passed away, we had some family health scares, Kevin had to go on a two week long work trip, we got the Norovirus (even worse and for the second time) and this last week Kevin's grandfather passed away as well. So, to say the least we are really hoping February has better things in store for us!

We did have some fun in January though with Taylor's birthday, my grandfathers 90th Bday party, a trip to Austin to visit Gaga and Papa, a fun EO gala date night, Panama City Beach, having Melanie and Charlie (6 months) visit and seeing the gals for girls dinner night! Never a dull moment!

I am catching up on my blogging as I am on a flight back from Greenville, SC (thank you Southwest WIFI) . This weekend was my cousin Betsy's bachelorette party in Asheville, NC. It was such a blast in a beautiful place with some fun girls. I spent my very first nights away from my baby girl ever, and although it was painful as anything- it was a wonderful time and mom got a break. I cannot wait to see my child and hubby in less than an hour though!!!! My husband and parents were awesome in all pulling together to take care of Tay while I was gone for 2 nights and were so sweet to send me numerous photos and videos.

Asheville was gorgeous and we visited the Grove Park Inn for lunch, toured the Biltmore Estate (the Vanderbilts 200 room home on 8,000 acres) and went out in downtown Asheville. We stayed in a mountain cabin and had a great time. Such a blast and now I am even more excited for Betsy and Stephens big day in April!!!

As soon as I arrive in Houston I will meet my loves and hop on another plane so we can fly to Kevin's grandfathers funeral in Jal, NM. Pa was such an amazing, sweet man and we were blessed to have him in our lives. It is always comforting to know someone has lived a God filled life and is watching over you in Heaven. What a true example of a family man.

Taylor is now 13 months and is a little busy body! she just cut her 7th tooth- a molar and is finally starting to show interest in her walker. She loves to dive off all furniture (which leaves Kevin and i jumping to catch her regularly). She says more words every day- and she loves to say ruff ruff whenever she sees or hears doggies. Her hair is getting so long and she is strong! I call her the welcome committee because wherever we go she is smiling, waving and saying hi. We are trying to wean off the bottle totally- as she likes sippy cups, but at is point we are still doing one cow milk bottle in the morning. She has a new little smile with her teeth that are getting bigger and it makes her look so much older! My babies growing up! Tear. She is still momma's little side kick and is such a trooper. We have started the initial house hunting process and after looking at several different areas have decided to focus our search to Memorial area and possibly even gutting and renovating a home there. Wish us luck! It's crazy how fast stuff goes in that area. Whoa.

Well, here's to 2013 only getting better and a few snapshots of things we've been up to!

Happy First Birthday Baby Girl!

Obviously I am quite behind on my blogging as always these days! Taylor is now 13 months but here is her recap of her first birthday party. She had a great time and it was so precious to have all the friends and family to come out and see her. She is loved!
At her 12 mo check up she is still our 97% baby in height and weight. Pediatrician is guessing she will be about 5'9! You know she didn't get that from her momma! She is such a social, happy baby girl. She goes to bed about 8pm and usually wakes up around 6:30 or 7 am. She is still taking 2 naps a day and is crawling and pulling up everywhere but not yet walking. Doesn't seem to want to walk at 12 months. She eats all solid foods and has 6 teeth. Shes a crawling machine and loves to climb on anything! Kevin and I are just obsessed with this girl. She makes me smile and laugh non-stop.

TAYLOR'S PINK PUPPY PARTY!

My little Turkey

Well- our Thanksgiving in Amarillo was basically canceled due to stomach virus and Hand, Foot & Mouth disease (our poor Amarillo family!). So, we just made a short impromptu trip to Rockport to see my sis and Kyle. Sorry Taylor--- but for Christmas you will get the whole turkey dinner!

Texas Renaissance Festival

We took Taylor to the Texas Renaissance Festival this weekend and it was such a blast! It was the first time for Kevin too so it was quite an experience. We ate lots of crazy food, drank some beer, rode some rides, pet a goat, and saw LOTS of interesting people! If you've been to Thanks! Festival... you know what I mean! We got her a princess hat and she was so excited to wear it all day. It was a long trip out there but well worth it. We can't wait to take her again next year when she can experience more!

Nine Month Nugget!

My how time flies! Our sweet baby girl just had her 9 month check up and a lot of action has been going on around the Morgan household! At 8 months Taylor started scooting and three weeks ago it turned to crawling. Around the same time we heard her first words... MAMA! I was quite proud and she loved to squeal and yell mama. I must admit that everything was mama, not just me! We took a family trip to Las Vegas last week. That was interesting to say the least, but we had a good time. Taylor and I were kicked out of several areas in Vegas, and learned the only places you are ok to go in Vegas are shopping centers! We used a nanny service in Vegas at night and it was actually pretty amazing. The lady we used was so sweet and Taylor just loved her. Kevin and I did decide that would be our last trip to Vegas with a baby! I was not prepared for hr time change which = her waking up at 5 am Vegas time. She was great on the flights and was such a trooper as always the entire trip. We have the sweetest little social butterfly. Mommy & daddy love you so much!

Here are the rest of her updates!

Stats:

Height: 29 in. /90%
Weight: 22 lbs/ 90%
Head: 47th percentile (don't remember size)

Taylor loves:
-Crawling everywhere!
-Crawling in the bathtub/ splashing
-Baby Cheerios
-Barney and Wonder Pets
-Feeding herself her bottles and even baby food pouches when we are on the go (so independent)
-Blabbing and squealing
-talking and smiling with anyone!
-Playing with the chihuahuas
-drinking out of any straw and bottles of water
-Exploring and putting everything in her mouth! Yikes!!
-napping in her swing (a big problem as we are already over the weight limit!)
-her big girl sit-up stroller
-runs at the park
-still loves the jumper
- a big fan of the new tent her aunt titi and uncle Kyle got her!

Day to day:
- down to breastfeeding once a day
-eats 3 meals a day and 2-3 bottles
-napping 2-3 hours/ day
-sleeps 8pm- 7am, occasionally waking up in middle of night (mom tries to usually stay strong and let her fuss it out, but sometimes ends up doing a midnight feed)
- her 3rd tooth just popped through on the top right
-hates avocados (if you know my entire families love of them, than this is insane)
-bath and books every night! She loves her stories!
